The signing campaign of Scuderia Ferrari HP continues under the leadership of Frederic Vasseur. Two important figures, Loic Serra and Jerome D’Ambrosio, arrive from the Mercedes AMG F1 team to strengthen the team’s staff. Both will be able to start working with the Prancing Horse on October 1st, after six months of gardening leave.
LOIC SERRA WILL BE HEAD OF CHASSIS PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING
Loic Serra, born in 1972, will become the Head of Chassis Performance Engineering and responsible for all engineering related to the single-seater. The Frenchman will report to Technical Director Enrico Cardile and coordinate the work between various departments, including Track Engineering, Aero Development, Aero Operations, and Vehicle Performance.
He graduated in mechanical engineering, and he worked first at Michelin, then in F1 with BMW-Sauber and Mercedes.
JEROME D’AMBROSIO WILL BECOME DEPUTY TEAM PRINCIPAL
Jerome D’Ambrosio is perhaps best known to the general public for having had a decent career as a driver, which also led him to participate in 20 F1 GPs between 2011 and 2012. The Belgian, born in 1985, will be the new Deputy Team Principal reporting directly to Fred Vasseur, a role he had held until the beginning of the year also at Mercedes alongside Toto Wolff. Just like in the previous experience, D’Ambrosio will also take care of young Ferrari talents, becoming director of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy.
