On 18 February 2025 at the O2 Arena in London, F1 will host the team launches in a single event for the 75th F1 World Championship . Fans will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new lives across the field. Drivers and team representatives will be part of the show, with their color schemes kept a secret until then.
Ferrari has already revealed to some media, including AutoRacer, that their 2025 car will make its track debut the following day, Wednesday 19 February . Presumably, we can expect virtually no one to show their actual 2025 car in London, given the event will be under uncontrolled cameras and spotlights.
Something new is starting in Maranello, there is optimism.
Carlos Sainz left Ferrari in style, thanks to a very professional attitude that Vasseur was able to reciprocate . Lewis Hamilton will arrive in Maranello in the next few days , beginning work alongside Charles Leclerc.
Usually, no earlier than January 10-12, drivers return to the factory for final seat tests and simulator work. Teams are already in relatively advanced stages of their 2025 development and simulator programs.
There is huge anticipation for Ferrari’s launch, as is usually the case for the Scuderia.
From what we understand, weight savings and ballast should no longer represent a major obstacle to creativity . This means we can expect less ‘visible carbon’ on the cars. A trend already seen last season.
In this sense, FIA’s increase in minimum weight for 2025 (798kg to 800kg) has been increased . This year, in addition to the cooling kit for drivers, a special cooling system will also debut. This will be mandatory in very hot races, which will see a further 5kg increase in the minimum weight.
Ferrari will show up in London with a different paint job , a more intense shade of red that will represent a change from the last two cars. However, it will not be as extreme as the amaranth paint job of the iconic and extreme ‘Rosso Mugello’ used on the SF1000 at the 2020 Tuscan GP.
The style and combinations of the livery, combined with the paint job, should reveal a bold touch from the Maranello designers . This will be seen in London on the SF-24 on February 18. Together, of course, with the new 2025 uniforms.
