The day most awaited by the fans has arrived. Ferrari has revealed the new SF-24 that Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will race with in Bahrain. Pre-season testing and the first Grand Prix of the season are just weeks away.

Ferrari is often the most anticipated single-seater, full of expectations and hopes. Frederic Vasseur has placed his trust in Enrico Cardile and the Settebello, awaiting the arrival of reinforcements in the coming months to strengthen the staff.

Meanwhile, the SF-24 will have to show that Maranello really understood last year’s problems. The hope is they managed to solve them with a profound evolution – changing up to 95% of last year’s car.

Under the new livery lies the new chassis

The anticipation and attention that the Ferrari single-seater arouses is always among the highest. In recent weeks, we have launched several previews on what to expect from the SF-24 and what not to expect to see.

One common theme for every team has been the arrival of a new chassis. Enrico Cardile and his staff needed to redesign the foundations of the machine to achieve certain goals.

The first is to move the position of the anti-intrusion cone downwards. This part is now embedded in the floor, as the rest of the grid had already done.

Floors remain the most delicate and important aspect of the current generation of F1 cars. In addition to ensuring maximum performance, they provide an important baseline for future development.

Alpine has pushed this idea to the extreme in a bid to improve its long-term potential.

The new livery, redder, with traces of white and yellow, makes it clear that weight is no longer a problem in Maranello.

On a mechanical level, a revolution was not expected, and so it is, but the Maranello engineering group has worked to optimize the choices made in past seasons.

Unlike Mercedes, Ferrari has not risked too much in this field. Instead, their attention has been focused elsewhere to incorporate ideas into their 2024 challenger.

Ferrari’s new front is inspired by Red Bull – as we also saw in the case of the Aston Martin AMR24.

The Maranello aerodynamicists have changed the upper part of the car a lot, which clearly differs from the SF-23.
