Aston Martin faces a period of profound change to propel Lawrence Stroll’s team to the top in a short time. Investments made in the new factory , new wind tunnel and the hiring of Adrian Newey must generate results soon. 2026 will be the first year these elements will have an impact, thanks to the change in regulations. In the meantime, however, the organizational structure is already changing – Enrico Cardile replacing Dan Fallows.

Dan Fallows re-located, Enrico Cardile arriving (Newey on the way)

The Aston Martin group has been shaken by several adjustments over the last few months. After reaching an agreement with Honda to become a full-fledged constructor team, Dan Fallows was removed from the position of Technical Director – following a disappointing 18 months of development.

Enrico Cardile was hired shortly after, taking his place. The former Ferrari Technical Director has decided to embrace this new challenge and take the reigns of the project from Lawrence Stroll, who also successfully signed Adrian Newey , outbidding Ferrari.

Ferrari did not want to enter a bidding war with Aston Martin, especially after offering the former Red Bull engineer everything he wanted – not just from a financial perspective.

Fallas

Enrico Cardile’s arrival at Aston Martin, according to what AutoRacer.it has learned, will happen very soon – at the beginning of in January .

This means Cardile will begin work before Adrian Newey, who is busy with an extended period of gardening leave. The Italian technician will coordinate the team’s various departments (aerodynamics, chassis, mechanics) and will report directly to the future CTO, Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey – who will take on the same role he had in Red Bull in recent years.

Cardile will find a cutting-edge technical structure that was recently completed. The new wind tunnel of the Silverstone team will be operational starting around February and will be used for the 2026 single-seater .

Dan Fallows, in the meantime, has been relocated to the automotive department of the company, leaving the world of Formula 1.
